thank you for the opportunity to comment
new regulations and beaurocratic opression , unfunded mandates on our time with govt/managed care holding reimbursement steady leads to less attractive and eventually an end to private practice like mine
Private practice need to lower the malpractice insurance. We pay too much of the insurance now.

I am alarmed that CA may be the next state that approves psychologists writing prescriptions. If a large state like CA goes down, the rest will fold very rapidly because CA has always been the harbinger of bad things. CA was the first state to have HMO's. We will not be able to make a living! I don't know about you, but it's tough enough paying back loans and treating demanding and difficult patients. To not be able to make a living will really take the cake. Please advocate and be more involved! I don't think there's a more important issue out there for us to worry about right now. By the way, I live in NY.
We receive more and more demands from the profession about the standard of care which I agree with. At the same time I wander about hoe the physicians dictating those standars manage to discuss and document "all" that's recommended, in a ten to fifiteen minute appointtment.
I would like to know how they do it so we can all learn.
