    Dr. Benson,

We are within weeks of launching an updated version of this site.  The appearances will be pretty much the same, but it will integrate with psych.org allowing members to login with their member's corner credentials.  I am looking into moving existing content to the new site, but can't guarantee the results just yet.  Can this wait until the new site launches to minimize confusion?

    Re: ASSEMBLY COMMUNICATIONS WORK GROUP

Hi Scott, I'm replying to your notice that the forum is open.  In answer to one of your issues mentioned, please know that New Jersey Psychatric Assn (NJPA) has a number of email lists, one for the entire membership (those who give us their email addresses), the council and a number of committees.  In addition, through APA central office, our staff can send "blast emails" to everyone who has given APA their email address.

Since I'm the representative for Area 3, I'll need to get up to date on the other DBs.  I know that WPS, Maryland & Pennsylvania have email lists, not sure about Delaware.

One problem Area 3 Council has is that our email list is blocked by many ISPs, such as my own, so that when the Area Rep sends a message, it's not to the list, but to each member individually.  We've been waiting for Psych:communities to get up to speed for a long time now.  Let's hope that time is here.

    Dr. Benson,

I have created the forum.  You will see it on the forums page under the Assebly group.  I have set it up to allow the work group members to post and reply, but non-workgroup members can only read content.

I will still need to add all the members of the work group to the security group in the system.  Once I get a list of members, I will be sure their accounts are setup correctly.  For the moment, you are the only one in the group.  I will follow up once the rest is done.

I can tell I have some technology to learn. I came back for a different project and realized that I was not getting notices of these posts.

Thanks for getting this set up. I will get the names and addresses of the Workgroup members to you today.
