    Where do things get posted?

    Hi:

I posted a message to the AEC forum, but it appears, at least to me to be visible to all, and not just members of the AEC.

Did i screw up, or is the AEC forum set to be public?

    TIA

    Dr. Martin,

Your post in the AEC forum was placed in the correct bucket so to speak.  The AEC forum is setup to allow staff and AEC members to post content, but all members can view it.  So, a member of the APA who is not on the AEC would still be able to read posts in the AEC forum even though they cannot reply or create new posts.

The best way to see where exactly a post has been placed is by looking at the "breadcrumb" navigation below the top navigation bar.

Thanx. When i look at the forum homepage i see the posting, but i imagine it is because the system knows who am , what I can see.

Mr. Bruce, I just sent you an email (hopefully to your correct email address) that at least Dr. Martin and I did not understand that the AEC Forum was to be open to all APA members to read.  We need to discuss this further with Dr. Weinstein, the Speaker of the Assembly, since we (the AEC) are getting ready to discuss several proposals that I at least do not feel we would be able to have a frank and open discussion if all APA members are able to follow along.  Hopefully, you and Dr. Weinstein can reply to my email message so we can have this issue settled before the AEC is ready to move forward with our discussions.

Understandable.  I have changed the permissions for the AEC forum so that only all members cannot read or view the content. This should correct the issue for now.

In another month we should be ready to roll this site out to all members with some added integration to the AMS.  When we do that, we'll need to recreate all the forums and can add a subforum to the AEC forum for AEC only communications.

Thank you.  Hopefully we can begin to get the AEC members to post on here.

I hate to be dense but i am having trouble parsing your syntax.  Please confirm that the AEC forum is now private and is only allowing for posting AND viewing by AEC members and staff. Thanx -gm
